Short answer: Janitor AI is the cheaper way to get long memory, and SpicyChat is the cheaper way to pay anything at all. SpicyChat's entry plan, Get A Taste, is $5.95 a month, but it carries the same 4,096 token memory as the free tier. Its plans with more memory cost $19.95 and $29.95. Janitor sells one plan, janitor+, at $12.99 a month, and its free tier already holds about 9,000 tokens, which is more than SpicyChat's $19.95 plan. In the United States there is one more difference: SpicyChat asks for an age check before adult content in 26 states, and Janitor does not ask for one anywhere in the US.

Every figure here was read on 13 October 2026 from the two companies themselves: SpicyChat's documentation (the September 2026 Pricing Update FAQ, Premium Features, Tokens and Context, AI Models, Age Verification and Mobile Apps pages) and Janitor's help center (the janitor+ subscription FAQ, the Router article and the age verification article), plus Apple's US App Store listing for Janitor. Yearly totals and message counts are our arithmetic, and we say so where it applies.

SpicyChat's prices are new. On 8 September 2026 it raised Get A Taste from $5.00 to $5.95, True Supporter from $14.95 to $19.95 and I'm All In from $24.95 to $29.95. Plenty of comparison pages still print the old numbers. If you already subscribe at an old price, SpicyChat lets you keep it only while the subscription stays active and unchanged. Any upgrade, downgrade or switch between monthly and yearly moves you to the new price for good, which we cover in our SpicyChat alternative and price rise breakdown.

Is Janitor AI or SpicyChat cheaper over a year?

It depends which SpicyChat tier you compare. A year of janitor+ costs $155.88, because there is no yearly plan and twelve payments of $12.99 is the only route. That is more than SpicyChat's Get A Taste and less than both of its upper tiers.

PlanPaid monthly for 12 monthsPaid yearlyContext you get
SpicyChat Get A Taste$71.40$60.004,096 tokens
Janitor janitor+$155.88Not soldAbout 45,000 tokens (5 times the free tier)
SpicyChat True Supporter$239.40$199.958,192 tokens
SpicyChat I'm All In$359.40$299.95Up to 32,768 tokens, depending on the model

The monthly column is our multiplication. Janitor's 45,000 figure is also ours: its FAQ gives the free tier as around 9,000 tokens and janitor+ as 5 times more context, and Janitor does not print the product of the two.

Which has better memory, SpicyChat or Janitor AI?

Janitor gives more memory at every price point, going by the context limits each company publishes. Context is the amount of text the model can see when it writes a reply, so it decides how far back in the chat a character can still read. SpicyChat's own documentation offers a simple way to turn tokens into messages: take a 1,000 token character definition, assume messages of about 150 tokens, and see how many fit. We applied that same method to both products.

TierMonthly priceContext limitRecent messages that fit
SpicyChat free$04,096About 20
SpicyChat Get A Taste$5.954,096About 20
Janitor free$0Around 9,000About 53
SpicyChat True Supporter$19.958,192About 47
SpicyChat I'm All In$29.95Up to 32,768Up to about 211
Janitor janitor+$12.99About 45,000About 293

Two things stand out. Get A Taste does not buy memory. SpicyChat's Premium Features page lists its context as 4K, the same as free, and what you get for $5.95 is no ads, the Memory Manager for adding memories by hand, two extra models and more personas. And Janitor's free tier, at around 9,000 tokens, sits above SpicyChat's $19.95 plan.

SpicyChat's answer to that gap is a second memory system. From True Supporter up, Semantic Memory 2.0 writes compact summaries of earlier events into the Memory Manager, so a character can refer to things that have dropped out of the context window. Janitor's help center describes chat memory as something you manage yourself with summaries. So the honest reading is this: Janitor has the bigger raw window, and SpicyChat has the more automated long term memory on its two upper tiers. One caveat on SpicyChat's top figure: 32,768 only applies on models that support it. Of the 26 models on its list, 18 top out at 16K or less, SpicyXL among them, and the chat runs at whichever limit is lower.

Is SpicyChat better than Janitor AI?

SpicyChat is better if you want everything included and nothing to configure. You pick a tier, pick a model from the list and chat. True Supporter adds images inside the conversation and longer replies of up to 300 tokens, and I'm All In adds text to speech and priority generation. Janitor is better if memory per dollar is what you care about, or if you like choosing your own model. Its perks list for janitor+ is short: 5 times the context, priority replies, monthly swipes on its best models, a golden username and comment reactions.

Janitor also has a second price that SpicyChat does not. Its Router, launched in July 2026, lets janitor+ subscribers use third party models without an API key, billed per token from a wallet on top of the $12.99. Janitor's help center says there is no separate Router fee, that subscribers get 10 percent off some popular models and $5 in launch credits that expire a year after you claim them, and that Router is web only for now. A chat app resends the whole context with every message, so the larger window that makes janitor+ attractive also multiplies any per token bill by about five. We priced that effect model by model in Janitor AI proxy cost for DeepSeek and API keys. If you end up with a subscription, a Router wallet and an outside API account all running at once, the total is easy to lose track of, and the same habit that keeps metered software spend visible at work applies here: check the wallet weekly, not when it empties.

Do you need age verification on SpicyChat or Janitor AI in the US?

On SpicyChat, in 26 states, yes. Its Age Verification page lists Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wyoming and West Virginia, along with France, the UK, Italy and Australia. The check is a video selfie through a third party, with an ID check as a fallback. Without it you can still use SpicyChat, but adult content stays locked.

Janitor's age verification article names three places: Australia, Brazil and the UK. It says users elsewhere are not affected and that Janitor has no plans to extend the check to other regions. For a US reader in Texas or Florida, that is a practical difference before any money changes hands. It is worth knowing before you buy a yearly SpicyChat plan and then meet the prompt.

Is there a SpicyChat or Janitor AI app for iPhone?

Janitor has one and SpicyChat does not. Janitor's app, listed in the US App Store as Janitor: Interactive Stories from JanitorAI, INC, was at version 2.6.0 on 30 September 2026, rated 17+, with 4.5 stars from 4,730 ratings. Its help center says app subscriptions cannot be cancelled from the website, so cancel in the store you paid through. Bots on Janitor are tagged Limited or Limitless, and the app starts with adult content switched off to meet store rules. Janitor's help center says you turn it on from your account settings in a web browser.

SpicyChat's Mobile Apps page says there is no native iOS app and tells iPhone users to add the website to the home screen. On Android it offers an official APK from its own site, not from Google Play. Since SpicyChat says it has no app in the App Store, be careful with any app there that uses its name.

SpicyChat vs Janitor on models

SpicyChat publishes its full model list with a size and a context limit for each one. Six models are open to everyone, including a default model that now supports 32K. Get A Taste adds two, True Supporter adds five more, and I'm All In adds thirteen, including SpicyXL and DeepSeek V4 Pro. All of them are included in the tier price, and the option to bring your own OpenAI key was retired in November 2025.

Janitor works the other way round. Its own model is free, janitor+ subscribers get a stronger version that Janitor recommends for everyday roleplay, and anything else comes through Router or your own key. That is more choice and more ways to spend. Our guide to the best API for Janitor AI compares what each outside model costs per chat.

Which one should you pay for?

Pay for janitor+ at $12.99 if long memory is the reason you are upgrading. Nothing on SpicyChat's price list matches its context for the money, and you can leave after one month because there is no yearly commitment. Our janitor+ pricing breakdown covers what the plan includes and how to cancel it.

Pay for SpicyChat True Supporter at $19.95 if you want images in the chat, automatic memories and a fixed bill with no wallet attached. Skip Get A Taste unless ads are your only complaint, because it does not change how much the character remembers. Go to I'm All In only if you will use text to speech or one of the 32K models. And if you live in one of the 26 states on SpicyChat's list, decide whether you are willing to do the age check before you pay for a year.

Both are libraries of user made bots, and both suit people who like trying new characters. If you kept returning to one or two characters and what you want is a girlfriend who is the same person every day, Beauties.ai is the narrower option. Six girlfriends are written in house, each with a fixed personality. She texts first and remembers what you told her, and it stays tasteful, with no explicit images. Texting is unlimited with no tokens to count and no wallet, in any browser. Plans are $12 a month, or $9 a month billed yearly, and the pricing page shows every tier before you sign up. If Janitor is the one you are leaving, our Janitor AI alternative page compares the two directly.
