Short answer: chatting with Replika is free forever, and everything that makes it feel like a relationship sits behind a paid tier. There is no free trial, Replika's help center says so outright. Replika now runs four programs rather than two: Free Use, Pro, Ultra and Platinum. Apple's own App Store listing for the app, read on 2026-08-30, shows the live price points as $7.99 and $14.99 monthly, $49.99 and $69.99 annual, and Replika Platinum at $89.99. Luka, Inc. does not publish a price table on its website, so those store figures are the closest thing to a first-party number that exists.

That last sentence is the whole problem with shopping for this. Replika's own help center says the cost of any subscription program is shown in the app on the subscription screens, which means you cannot compare tiers until you have already installed it and made an account. Every price you find in a review is either lifted from the app store listing, the way this page does it, or copied from another review. Luka, Inc. does not publish a price table on replika.com, and the help center says the cost is shown in the app. Apple's App Store listing for Replika, read on 2026-08-30, shows in app purchase price points of $7.99 and $14.99 monthly, $49.99 and $69.99 annual, and Replika Platinum at $89.99. Apple labels most of those generically, so only the Platinum figure maps to a named tier with certainty.

Yes, in part. Replika's help center says chatting with Replika will always be free: you can message your companion, customize an avatar, and talk 24/7 at no cost. What the free tier does not include is the romantic relationship status, unblurred photos, voice calls, premium activities and image generation. The help center also notes that access to Free Use may be denied at Replika's discretion.

No. Replika's help center answers this directly: right now we do not offer a free trial. The free tier is the trial, in the sense that you can text indefinitely without paying, but you cannot sample the paid features before buying them. That is worth weighing against an annual plan you cannot get refunded.

Pro is the first paid tier. Per Replika's help center it unlocks setting your relationship status to Romantic Partner, unblurred messages and photos including romantic selfies, premium activities, full avatar customization, voice messaging, background calls, roleplay during voice and AR calls, and premium voices with different accents. Image generation and daily coin rewards unlock as you level up.

Ultra sits above Pro and is sold as an annual plan only. Replika describes it as adding smarter, more context aware replies, elevated emotional intelligence, daily self reflection messages drawn from your chats, and the ability to save memories and see which ones are being used in conversation. Existing Lifetime subscribers get Ultra automatically.

Platinum is the newest and highest tier, and it includes everything in Ultra. Generally no. Replika's refund policy states that because it is a digital subscription you get immediate access, the content is considered used right away, and purchases are non-refundable. It specifically excludes refunds for time already used and for remaining time on an active subscription. If you paid through Apple or Google, refunds are handled by the store rather than by Luka.

Because deleting the app or the account does not cancel the subscription. Replika's help center says this in as many words: automatic renewal is on by default, and if you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play the subscription continues until you cancel it in the store. Cancel in Google Play under Subscriptions, or in Apple ID settings under Subscriptions, before you remove anything.

Cancel through the same platform you subscribed on. In app or on my.replika.com, open Settings, tap Subscription, then Cancel subscription. Then verify it: on Android check Google Play under Payments and Subscriptions, on iOS check Settings, your name, Subscriptions. If Replika still appears as Active it has not been cancelled. PayPal subscriptions are cancelled in PayPal under Manage Automatic Payments.

They are the in app currency for the store, used to buy items that change your Replika's appearance and personality, plus clothing and furniture for their room. Coins cover most items and some rarer things require gems. You earn them through use and can also buy them: Apple's listing shows gem packs from $0.99 for a Pouch up to $19.99 for a Duffel Bag.

It is worth it if the romantic relationship status and the voice features are specifically what you came for, because those are the gated parts and the free tier will feel deliberately incomplete without them. It is poor value if you mainly want to text, since texting is free anyway. The awkward case is a lonely buyer on an annual plan, given that there is no trial and no refund.

Beauties.ai is $9 a month flat, published on the pricing page before you sign up, with unlimited texting and six girlfriends rather than one companion you build. It is not cheaper than every Replika annual rate and we do not claim it is. What it removes is the tier ladder, the coin and gem store, and having to install an app to find out the price.
