Candy AI vs OurDream AI, Pricing and Which Plan Costs Less

Short answer: Candy AI is the cheaper subscription and OurDream AI is the more predictable one. A year of Candy AI costs $47.88 against $119.88 for OurDream Premium, and a month to month Candy plan is $9.99 for the first month and $13.99 after that, against $19.99 on OurDream. But OurDream gives you 1,000 coins a month and publishes what every action costs, while Candy gives you 100 tokens and does not publish its token prices or its per action rates anywhere a logged out buyer can see them. If you mostly text, Candy's yearly plan is the lower bill. If you want calls, video or lots of images and need to know the cost before you commit, OurDream is the one you can actually budget.

Every price below was read on 5 October 2026 through a United States connection, from Candy AI's own subscriptions page and OurDream AI's own upgrade page, which states "All prices are in USD". We read them from the US on purpose: some companion apps show European visitors a different price list, which is one reason review sites in this niche quote figures that do not match each other. The plan rules come from each vendor's help center, and every article we used is named with its date.

Two lines in that table deserve a second look. Candy's monthly plan is now sold as "First month $9.99, then $13.99/month", a 29 percent introductory cut that older Candy write ups do not mention, so the real first year on a monthly plan is $163.88, not $167.88. And Candy's short cycles are its most expensive way to pay. Paying $9.79 every two weeks comes to about $255 a year, and $5.60 a week comes to $291.20, both well above OurDream Premium's $239.88 for twelve monthly payments. Which is cheaper, Candy AI or OurDream AI?

Candy AI is cheaper on every like for like plan. Yearly, Candy costs $47.88 and OurDream Premium costs $119.88, a $72 gap. Month to month, Candy runs $13.99 after the first month and OurDream runs $19.99, a $6 gap. The comparison only flips once you start paying for extras, because OurDream bundles ten times as many visual credits and publishes their cost, and Candy does not.

Those figures are plan prices only, before any extra tokens or coins. For someone who chats and rarely generates anything, that is the whole bill, and Candy wins it clearly.

What do Candy AI tokens and OurDream coins actually buy?

This is where the two apps stop being comparable on price alone. Candy AI's help center lists what tokens are for: image generation, creating a custom AI, listening to a voice message, Voice Calls (beta), unlocking My Private Content packs, and turning an image into a video. What it does not list is how many tokens any of those cost, or what a token pack costs. The page that sells extra tokens, candy.ai/tokens, shows nothing to a logged out visitor, and the help article "What if I run out of tokens before the end of the month?" (updated 18 September 2026) simply points you there.

OurDream publishes both halves. Extra coins cost $11.99 for 1,000, $49.99 for 5,000 and $159.99 for 20,000, and OurDream's coin guide, "What costs coins?", prices each action:

OurDream's upgrade page translates Premium's 1,000 coins into "20 minutes of voice calls" or "10 videos", and those are alternatives, not a bundle. So the honest reading is this. With OurDream you can work out a month's bill before you pay. With Candy you find out what a call or a video costs only after you have subscribed and started spending. Is Candy AI or OurDream AI better for voice calls and video?

OurDream AI is the better buy for calls and video, mainly because you can price them. Premium's 1,000 coins cover 20 call minutes a month, Deluxe's 5,000 cover 100, and each extra minute costs 40 to 60 cents depending on the coin pack. Candy AI lists voice calls as a beta that spends tokens, and it does not publish the rate.

Candy has one video feature OurDream does not frame the same way: Live Action, a Premium only, token gated set of interactive video scenes on selected characters, which its help center says is currently available on mobile only. If that specific feature is what you want, Candy is the only one of the two that has it. If you want to make your own videos, both charge per clip, and only OurDream tells you the price per five seconds.

Which has the better refund policy?

Neither is generous, but Candy AI's window is far shorter. Candy's help center says a refund request must be made within 24 hours of the payment, and only if 20 tokens or fewer have been used, and only for card payments. Cancelling does not trigger a refund on its own (help article updated 7 September 2026). OurDream's refund policy, dated 9 March 2026, refuses refunds once more than 25 percent of a product is used, refuses them on monthly plans once the coins are spent, never refunds crypto, gives you 14 days to report a defect, and reviews annual plans case by case.

In practice that means Candy's $47.88 year is close to non refundable after day one, and OurDream's $359.88 Deluxe year is a bigger amount to lose if you change your mind in month two. Start on a monthly cycle with either if you are not sure.

What happens to your tokens and pictures when you cancel?

Candy AI keeps your token balance and your content when you cancel. Its help center (updated 25 August 2026) says cancelling does not delete your tokens, which reappear when you subscribe again, and that your chats, images and characters stay as long as the account exists. You cancel from My Profile, then Settings, then Unsubscribe, and there is no pause option.

OurDream AI blurs the images and videos you generated until you subscribe again, including community packs you unlocked, and you cannot buy coins without a plan. Unused coins, on the other hand, do not reset each month, so a light month is not wasted. You cancel from your profile page with a Cancel subscription button.

How do Candy AI and OurDream AI show up on a bank statement?

Neither shows its app name. Candy AI's help center says the charge appears as "EverAI", and the company behind it is EverAI Limited in Malta. OurDream bills discreetly, and its own policies name Dream Studio USA, Inc., Dream Studio LLC and Tektopia Ltd as the companies behind the site, which we cover on the Dream Studio LLC charge page.

If you are trying to work out how much you have already spent on one of them across several months, the quickest route is usually to turn the PDF card statements into a spreadsheet and filter for EverAI or Dream Studio, rather than scrolling statement by statement.

Does Candy AI or OurDream AI have an app?

Neither has a native iPhone or Android app. Candy AI's help center (updated 19 June 2026) says it offers no native app and runs as a progressive web app you add to your home screen. OurDream's help center says the same about its site. Any "Candy AI" or "OurDream" listing you find in an app store is not from either company, so do not hand it your card.

Is Candy AI or OurDream AI worth it?

Candy AI is worth it if you want the lowest possible price for unlimited text with a small visual allowance and you will commit to a year, because $47.88 is hard to beat in this category. OurDream AI is worth it if you plan to call, generate video or make lots of images, because 1,000 coins a month at a published rate is a budget you can plan around. If you only want to text and you dislike meters, neither is built around that, and you are paying for visual features you will not use.

A flat plan if you mostly text

Beauties.ai takes the opposite trade to both. You pick one of six girlfriends we wrote and illustrated, and text her as much as you like for $12 a month, or $9 a month billed yearly, with no tokens, no coins and no meter.
