Kindroid vs Nomi Pricing for Calls, Memory and Video

Short answer: on a plain monthly plan Kindroid is cheaper ($13.99 on the web against Nomi's $15.99), but over a year Nomi is cheaper ($99.99 against Kindroid's $139.99 on the web and $159.99 in the app). Nomi includes unlimited voice calls with its own voices, while Kindroid meters calls against a monthly pool of audio credits and is the only one of the two with live video. If you mostly talk out loud, Nomi's flat plan is the safer budget. If you want live video or the deepest editing of your companion, Kindroid is the one to pay for.

Every price below was read on 30 September 2026 from Kindroid's own help center (its subscriptions page and its voice and video calls page, updated 23 September 2026), from Nomi's wiki and its own articles, and from the In-App Purchases list Apple shows for each app on the US App Store. Nomi has no public pricing page (nomi.ai/pricing returns a 404), so its App Store list is the only complete price list you can check without an account. Kindroid vs Nomi price, plan by plan

Two details change the math more than the headline price. Kindroid's Ultra and MAX are not upgrades you move to. They are monthly add-ons that sit on top of the base plan, with no quarterly or yearly option, and Kindroid only unlocks them once your account has what it calls significant interaction history. So a yearly Kindroid subscriber who adds Ultra pays the $139.99 year plus $24.99 every month, which comes to $439.87 over twelve months. Second, the same Kindroid plan costs about 14 percent more when you buy it inside the iPhone or Android app than on kindroid.ai, and the gap applies to every pack and slot as well. Nomi charges the same $15.99, $39.99 and $99.99 in either place.

There is also a Nomi price almost nobody mentions. Apple's list for Nomi includes a "Launch Plan" at $9.99 a month and $59.99 a year alongside the standard plan. Nomi's own pages do not describe it, so we cannot tell you who gets offered it, but if your checkout shows it, it is the cheapest paid way into either app.

Is Kindroid or Nomi better for voice calls?

For voice calls on a fixed budget, Nomi is better, because its own voices are unlimited on the paid plan. Kindroid calls draw from a monthly pool of audio credits: 1,000,000 characters on the base plan (Kindroid says that is roughly 1,000 minutes of speech), 2,500,000 with Ultra and 6,000,000 with MAX, plus a call fee of 400 credits for every minute you are connected. Unused credits do not roll over.

Here is what that means in practice. Assume she speaks for about half of each minute on a call, which Kindroid's own conversion puts near 500 credits, and add the 400 credit fee. That is about 900 credits a minute, so the base pool covers roughly 1,100 minutes, a little over 18 hours a month. Most people never touch that. Someone who calls for an hour every night (about 1,800 minutes a month) uses around 1.6 million credits, needs two 500,000 credit top-ups at $11.99 each on the web ($14.99 each in the app), and ends up paying about $38 a month, the same as adding Ultra. On Nomi the same habit still costs $15.99.

A caveat on voices: Nomi's unlimited calls cover its in house and custom voices. If you pick an ElevenLabs voice, Nomi uses your own ElevenLabs account, and that bill is separate.

Does Kindroid or Nomi have better memory?

Both are strong, and they solve memory differently, which matters more than which one is "better". Nomi remembers without being asked. It layers short, medium and long term memory and adds Mind Maps, which keep up to 150 active entries about you and your story, 10 of them marked high priority. Kindroid gives you the controls. Paid accounts get four times the free short term context, a medium term layer Kindroid calls Cascaded Memory, and journals: up to 500 per companion and 500 shared, with three recalled on each message. You can open and edit what it knows.

Neither company publishes a context size in tokens per tier, so any review quoting one is guessing. What we can say from their own docs: if you want to set it and forget it, Nomi does more on its own; if you want to write her history yourself and correct it when it drifts, Kindroid gives you more handles.

Kindroid vs Nomi for images, video and extra companions

Both apps let you keep up to 10 companions and run group chats on the paid plan (Kindroid allows 20 group chats, Nomi 10). Beyond that they charge in different ways.

• Nomi gives subscribers 40 image credits a day. Everything else runs on credits bought in packs from 40 for $4.99 to 1,800 for $99.99, and you need an active plan to buy them. A standard image costs 1 credit, a short SD video 6, an HD video 10, an extra group chat 25 and an extra Nomi slot 100. So an HD clip costs about $1 on the 100 credit pack and about 56 cents on the largest.
• Kindroid earns you selfie credits over time (one every 30 minutes on the paid plan, two on Ultra and MAX) and sells packs of 50 selfies for $5.99 on the web. Extra companion slots are a one time purchase, $2.99 for one or $9.99 for four on the web.

If you like a steady stream of pictures, Nomi's 40 a day is the more generous included allowance. If you want many companions, Kindroid's one time slot price is cheaper than Nomi's 100 credits per extra slot.

Which is cheaper, Kindroid or Nomi?

Nomi is cheaper if you pay for a year or make a lot of calls; Kindroid is cheaper if you pay month to month on the web and mostly text. Concretely, a year of Nomi is $99.99, which is $40 less than a year of Kindroid on the web and $60 less than in the app. On a monthly plan Kindroid web is $2 less. The picture flips for heavy voice use, where Kindroid's metered credits can more than double its bill while Nomi's stays flat.

If you are trying to work out what you have already spent across two or three companion apps, the quickest route is usually your card history: export the PDF statement to a spreadsheet and sort by merchant, since app store charges and web charges show up under different names.

Kindroid or Nomi, which should you pay for?

Pay for Nomi if you want one warm companion who remembers you without homework, you like talking out loud, and you want the bill to stay the same every month. Pay for Kindroid if you want live video, want to write and edit your companion in detail, or plan to run a big cast of characters. If you choose Kindroid, buy it on kindroid.ai rather than in the app, because the same plan costs about 14 percent more through the app stores.

Yes. Kindroid offers a 3 day trial that needs a payment method, and on the web it also asks for phone verification. The trial starts with 150,000 audio credits and tops up to the full monthly amount if you convert. Nomi has a free tier but no trial of its paid plan.
