Kindroid AI pricing: what the Kindroid app costs, is Kindroid free, and what a Kindroid subscription really adds up to

Here is the answer most people are looking for, and it is the part almost every review page gets wrong. A standard Kindroid subscription is $13.99 a month bought directly on the web, or $15.99 through the iOS and Android app stores. Quarterly is $37.99 web and $42.99 app. Yearly is $139.99 web and $159.99 app. Those are Kindroid's own published figures, read on 8 September 2026, and we checked the app-store column independently against Apple's in-app purchase disclosure the same day. They match.

The number that surprises people is the top of the ladder. Ultra and MAX are not plans you upgrade to. They are add-on subscriptions that stack. Kindroid's help center says it plainly: Ultra requires the standard subscription, and MAX requires both standard and Ultra. So Ultra is not $24.99 a month, it is $38.98 a month once the base plan underneath it is counted, and MAX is not $59.99, it is $98.97 a month on the web or $113.97 through an app store. That is roughly $1,188 a year at the top, and it is the single most useful thing to know before you start clicking upgrade.

What makes her feel real

Kindroid AI pricing, the way it should feel

Ultra and MAX stack, they do not replace

This is the fact that changes the budget. Kindroid states that Ultra requires the standard subscription and MAX requires both standard and Ultra. The advertised $24.99 and $59.99 are amounts added on top, so the real monthly totals Kindroid itself publishes are $38.98 and $98.97 on the web.

Buying in the app costs 13 to 16 percent more

Kindroid discounts direct web purchases across the whole price list. The annual plan is $139.99 on the web against $159.99 in an app store, a $20 difference for the same year. Every credit pack and slot purchase carries the same gap, because app stores take a commission.

Here the plan price is the whole bill

One flat figure from $9 to $39 a month opens all six girlfriends. There are no add-on tiers to stack, no slots to buy, no selfie or audio credits to top up, and no unlock gated behind how long you have been chatting. Multiply by twelve and you have the year.

Credit where it is due, because the comparison is not one-sided. Kindroid is a serious product with voice calls, video calls, video avatars and genuinely deep memory, and it holds 4.8 stars from more than 8,300 US App Store ratings, which is a better score than almost anything in this category. Its help center is also unusually honest: it publishes both the web and app price lists side by side, explains that the add-on tiers are priced to cover dedicated server costs rather than to make money, and admits it may lose money at those rates. Very few companies in this space publish anything at all. Two caveats on our own numbers. The published Ultra and MAX totals assume you are paying for the standard plan monthly, and the add-ons have no quarterly or yearly option, so your total will differ if your base plan is annual. And prices vary outside the United States with regional pricing and exchange rates. Last updated September 2026.

Good to know

Questions about your kindroid pricing

A standard Kindroid subscription costs $13.99 a month bought directly on the web, or $15.99 through the iOS and Android app stores. Paying ahead lowers it: $37.99 for three months or $139.99 for a year on the web, and $42.99 or $159.99 respectively through an app store. Those are Kindroid's own published figures, read on 8 September 2026.
Between $11.67 and $15.99 a month for the standard plan, depending entirely on how you pay. The cheapest route is the web annual plan at $139.99, which works out to $11.67 a month. The most expensive is paying month to month inside an app at $15.99. Over a year that gap is $51.89, or 37 percent, for exactly the same service.
Ultra adds $24.99 a month on the web or $28.99 in an app, but it is not a plan you switch to. Kindroid states that Ultra requires the standard subscription underneath it, so the real total is $38.98 a month on the web or $44.98 in an app. Ultra has no quarterly or yearly option, so it is billed monthly regardless.
MAX adds $59.99 a month on the web or $68.99 in an app, and it sits on top of both Ultra and the standard subscription. Kindroid publishes the real total itself: $98.97 a month on the web, or $113.97 through an app store. That is roughly $1,188 a year at the web rate, which is a genuine surprise to most people expecting $59.99.
There is a permanent free tier, but it is narrow on purpose. You get unlimited messages on Lite, a smaller distilled version of the flagship model, only 2 Kindroids, one selfie request every 2 hours up to a maximum of 2, and 5,000 lifetime audio characters, which is about five minutes of speech in total. Cascaded Memory is off.
Yes, three days of full premium access, and there is a catch worth knowing before you start it. The trial requires a payment method on file and converts into a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel first. Kindroid does email a reminder one day before it converts. Starting the trial on the web also requires a verified mobile phone number.
Not necessarily, but the free tier is a sample rather than a product. Free users are restricted to the distilled Lite model, so the flagship writing quality that people actually subscribe for is paywalled. Kindroid says so directly, advising free users to upgrade to a trial or subscription to use the premium language models.
Paid subscribers get 10 Kindroid slots and 20 group chats. Free users get 2. You can buy more slots as a one-time purchase, $2.99 on the web or $3.49 in an app for one slot, or $9.99 and $11.49 for four, and each Kindroid slot also adds two group chat slots. The catch is that purchased slots only work while a subscription is active.
Kindroid applies a discount to direct web purchases across its entire price list, because Apple and Google take a commission on in-app purchases. The gap runs about 13 to 16 percent on every line: $13.99 against $15.99 monthly, $139.99 against $159.99 yearly, and the same spread on every credit pack and slot purchase.
Not on credits or slots. Kindroid's in-app purchases page states verbatim that refunds are not available for in-app purchases. Unused paid credits do at least carry over to the next month rather than expiring, which is fairer than most meters in this category. For a subscription bought through an app store, any refund request goes to Apple or Google rather than to Kindroid.
You keep paying for MAX and get Ultra-level service. Kindroid documents this trap itself: because the tiers stack, cancelling a lower one drops your service level while the higher charge continues, and the app shows a yellow warning icon next to billing. The same applies to the standard plan. If it lapses, you drop to the free tier no matter what add-ons are still billing.
Memory is the thing the paid tiers actually sell. Subscribers get four times the short-term context of the free tier, plus Cascaded Memory for medium-term recall, enhanced long-term recall, and 1,000 extra characters for backstory and key memories. Ultra and MAX exist purely to raise that context ceiling further, which is why they are priced against dedicated server cost.
It is worth it if you want to author one companion in detail and use voice, video calls and video avatars, and if you are comfortable with a bill that can move. It is poor value if you want a predictable monthly cost or one girlfriend to talk to tonight, because the features most people assume are included sit behind stacking add-ons and separate credit purchases.
Yes, and the honest comparison matters more than the price. Beauties.ai is $9 to $39 a month flat, with all six girlfriends open on every plan, no add-on tiers, no slots and no credits. You give up voice, video calls and deep character authoring, which Kindroid does better. You gain a bill you can predict and a girlfriend you can start talking to in under a minute.
